Stormy Daniels '60 Minutes' Interview: Five Startling Quotes on Melania, Trump-Spanking and More

Stormy Daniels believes the world deserves to know her story.

In the face of threats from President Donald Trump's attorneys—who say the adult film actress is liable for $20 million in damages for violating a nondisclosure agreement—Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, sat down with Anderson Cooper for a 60 Minutes interview to share intimate details about her alleged affair with the president.

Here are few key takeaways from their talk:

1. Daniels doesn't see herself as part of the #MeToo movement

"This is not a 'me too,'" Daniels said. "I was not a victim. I've never said I was a victim. I think trying to use me to further someone else's agenda does horrible damage to people who are true victims."

2. Trump allegedly consented to Daniels spanking him

When Daniels met Trump, she said he boasted about his photo being on the cover of a magazine. Daniels wasn't impressed and told Trump to turn around and drop his pants so she could swat him on the rear with the magazine. And he did. Daniels told Cooper she spanked him in a "joking manner."

"From that moment on, he was a completely different person," Daniels said. "He quit talking about himself, and he asked me things, and I asked him things, and it just became like more appropriate."

At that point, Daniels also claimed Trump told her she reminded him of his daughter Ivanka.

3. Daniels says Trump didn't use a condom when the two allegedly had sex

Cooper pointed out that condom use is often an "issue" in the sex-work industry and asked Daniels if Trump used one. "No," Daniels replied. When Cooper asked if Daniels had requested that he use one, she said, "No, I honestly didn't say anything."

4. Trump and Melania slept in separate bedrooms at the time of the alleged affair, according to Daniels

Much has been made of the timing of Trump's alleged affair with Daniels. According to Daniels's account, their sexual involvement occurred when Melania Trump had just given birth to Barron, her son with Trump. When Daniels reportedly brought up Trump's family, she said the president shrugged off the question and revealed that he and Melania were sleeping in separate bedrooms.

"...He brushed it aside, said, 'Oh yeah, yeah, you know, don't worry about that. We don't even—we have separate rooms and stuff.'"

5. Daniels was threatened in a Las Vegas parking lot weeks after In Touch killed a story on her alleged affair with Trump

Daniels said she was on her way to a fitness class with her infant daughter in tow when a strange man approached and told her to "leave Trump alone" and "forget" about telling her story to In Touch magazine.

"And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom,'" Daniels continued. "And then he was gone."

Daniels said she considered it a direct threat but didn't go to the police because she was scared.
