Super Bowl 2020 Ticket Packages: How to Book Flights, Hotels and Travel to Miami to See Chiefs vs. 49ers

It's not too late to book a trip to Super Bowl 2020 and watch the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers battle it out on the field.

This year's event takes takes place on February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Tickets are still available, however (as expected), prices are steep from around $4,462 per person, while hotel + ticket packages are available from about $6,926 per person at the official NFL website.

Prices are just as high on resale websites like StubHub, where currently a Super Bowl ticket costs from $4,840.

For the lucky ones who've already scored a golden ticket to the game, here's where to stay, how to get there and the best deals on offer your Super Bowl trip. Generally, packages offer the best deals at the moment.

For flights, it's worth playing around with several combinations of dates to find a good price on flight comparison websites. Flying a day later or earlier than what are likely to be the most popular travel dates (which at the moment seem to be January 30 and 31 for outbound routes and February 3 for inbound routes, judging from the higher prices for these dates) could save you a good chunk of money.

Packages

Two nights at the Rodeway Inn Miami costs from $721 (reduced from $794) per person on Hotwire. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from popular attractions including the Hard Rock Stadium, Aventura Mall and the Ancient Spanish Monastery. The price includes return flight from Kansas City departing on January 31.

Three nights at the Generator Miami costs from $806 per person on Expedia. The hotel is located within a mile from 41st Street, the Miami Beach Boardwalk and Collins Avenue. The price includes a return flight from San Francisco departing on January 31.

Three nights at the Alden Hotel Miami Beach costs from $748 per person (reduced from $954) on Hotwire. The hotel is located just steps from the Miami Beach Boardwalk and a 15-minute walk from the shopping areas around Collins Avenue. The price includes return flight departing from Kansas City on January 30.

Three nights at the Freehand Miami costs from $1,249 per person on Hotwire. Located minutes from the Miami Beach Boardwalk, the hotel is a great base from which to explore Miami Beach. The price includes a return flight from San Francisco departing on January 31.

Flights

Several airlines are offering additional services to accommodate more passengers heading to Florida for the Super Bowl.

American Airlines has added additional flights to Miami from Kansas City as well as San Francisco and San Jose, California.

On January 31, there will be seven flights departing for Miami, including four from Kansas City, two from San Jose and one from San Francisco. An additional flight will depart from San Francisco on February 1. The return flights for all cities are scheduled for February 3.

Southwest Airlines has also announced additional flight options for fans catching the big game. Travelers can choose from three additional non-stop flights to Fort Lauderdale, departing on January 31 from Kansas City. The carrier is also offering an additional non-stop flight from San Jose to Fort Lauderdale. All flights return on February 3.

Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines is also adding extra services from Kansas City to Fort Lauderdale, with additional outbound flights to be offered on January 30, 31 and February 1, and return flights departing on February 3, according to Kansas City's KSHB.

Delta Air Lines is also poised to offer two extra flights to Florida on January 31, with return flights departing on February 3, according to KSHB.

For football fanatics outside the Kansas City and San Francisco looking to attend the match, have a look at Kayak, where you'll find be able to compare multiple airlines and prices at a glance. Return flights from New York to Miami are on offer from $327 (departing on January 30 and returning on February 3), while return trips from Boston cost from $91 (departing on January 30 and returning February 4).

For departures on the west, return flights from Los Angeles to Miami are on offer from $297 (departing on January 31 and returning on February 4), while return trips from Seattle cost from $337 (departing on January 30 and returning on February 4) on Kayak.

The website Alternative Airlines is another flight comparison site offering more options. Return flights from New York City to Miami costs from $333 (departing on January 30 and returning on February 3) with Frontier Airlines, while return trips from Chicago are priced from $230 (departing on January 29 and returning on February 3) with United Airlines.

Get a 44 percent discount on a four-night stay at the Life House in Miami's historic Little Havana district, priced from $484 per night (reduced from $880) on Travelocity. The hotel is located close to the shopping areas of Downtown Miami as well as Ocean Drive. The price is valid for stays from January 30.

Bag 33 percent off a four-night stay at the Beacon Hotel South Beach, priced from $671 per night (reduced from $1,009) on Travelocity. Perched right on the South Beach strip near Ocean Drive and Lummus Park Beach, the hotel is near several attractions including the Miami Seaquarium and Grapeland Water Park. The price is valid for stays from January 30.

A three-night stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Miami Doral costs from $279 (reduced from $349) per night on Expedia. The hotel is located close to the airport and various shopping areas including the Miami International Mall and Dolphin Mall. The price is valid for stays from January 31.
