‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’ Nintendo Direct Announced for Nov. 1

Fans are a little more than a month away from the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch, and Nintendo is having the last Direct dedicated to the upcoming fighting game on Nov. 1.

Starting at 10 a.m. EDT, the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct will feature approximately 40 minutes of new information about the game.

Following the conclusion of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct, there will be a Nintendo Treehouse: Live that will showcase other Switch titles coming this holiday season. The games expected to appear include Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, Yoshi’s Crafted World and Diablo III: Eternal Edition.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is one of the most anticipated titles of the latter half of 2018, and fans are expecting some new roster additions during this upcoming Nintendo Direct.

Recently, an alleged banner leak revealed seven new characters coming to Smash Ultimate including Ken from Street Fighter, Shadow from Sonic the Hedgehog and more. Last month, Director Masahiro Sakurai spoke about the frequency of the Smash Ultimate roster reveals and how it would slow down heading into the game’s launch.

“It’d be incorrect to say that we’re going to keep releasing information on new fighters until the game’s release,” Sakurai said. “Up until now we’ve been revealing characters one after another a bit too quickly, so we’re going to show some restraint from this point on!”

Since  this is the last Smash Nintendo Direct before the launch, we should find out whether the leak was accurate, as more characters will likely be revealed during the 40-minute presentation.

Fans should also expect more information on the various game modes, including a possible story to go along with the Nintendo fighting game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release Dec. 7.
