'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' Version 9.0.1 Update - Patch Notes

A brand new update has arrived in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, bringing with it more fighter adjustments.

Version 9.0.1 comes just one week after the release of Minecraft Steve and version 9.0. That version brought the new character, stage and much more, including fighter adjustments.

However, it seems Nintendo needed a patch as soon as possible to bring the best Super Smash Bros. Ultimate experience to the Switch. From the looks of the patch notes, changes were made to Minecraft Steve mostly to their minecart attack.

There were some issues with the minecart not hitting opponents or it would become uncontrollable. Other issues involved Minecraft Steve's block attack.

The latest update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also changed Minecraft Steve's victory pose, which drew some comical reactions from the internet when it looked like the character was holding...their junk when in actuality it was a piece of meat.

Nintendo's patch notes, which you can read below, doesn't mention this change to the victory pose, but after playing some matches the infamous end match scene is gone.

With the release of this new version, replay data from previous versions won't be compatible anymore.

Be sure to convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating.

Here's the complete patch notes for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 9.0.1.
