Take the Nukes, Just Stop Touching Me: Comedians Mock Donald Trump's 'Touch and Feel' Comments on Kim Jong Un Meeting

President Donald Trump may well regret his choice of words to describe how he would address his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, with late night comedians poking fun at the president’s description of the “touch and feel” he would use in the meeting.

The leaders met this week at an historic summit in Singapore, with both parties stating the meeting went well. Trump later commented that he believed he will have a “terrific relationship” with Kim and that the pair had enjoyed a “fantastic meeting.”

But ahead of his sit down with Kim, Trump had said he would gauge whether the North Korean leader was sincere with “just my touch, my feel. That's what I do."

"Oh we know that's what you do," Stephen Colbert shot back in a comment on The Late Show. "When you're a star, they let you do it,” he added, referencing the lewd comments Trump made on tape in an interview with Access Hollywood about him being able to grab women “by the p***y” because he was famous.

"When you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything,” Trump said in the infamous tape.

Presenter James Corden also got in on the action, wondering whether Trump’s “touch and feel” comment was in fact a clever ploy to get what he wanted out of the meeting.

“It might work. After three minutes of being touched and felt by Trump, Kim Jong-un is just going to go, 'Fine, fine, take the nukes. Whatever you want. Just stop touching me!'" Corden said on The Late Late Show.

And Jimmy Fallon also picked up on the awkward phrasing used by the president, joking on The Tonight Show: “When he heard that, Kim Jong-un was like, 'Let's do this meeting somewhere in public.'"

"There's a lot riding on this meeting," Fallon added. "Last night, Kim spent hours preparing, while at the same time Trump was laying in bed waiting for Spongebob to perform on the Tonys."
