Walmart vs. Target Black Friday 2018 Deals: How Do They Compare?

Walmart and Target cater to similar shoppers, meaning they carry similar items in stores across the country including everything from grocery products to clothing and electronics.

Both stores are going to have extensive Black Friday deals on all of those items including some of the season’s most popular must-have gifts. Target opens at 5 p.m. local time Thursday and closes at 1 a.m. Friday morning for a few hours before reopening at 7 a.m. Over at Walmart, the doors are set to open at 6 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving.

Some of Walmart’s deals are already available online for shoppers and others will only be available in store, though the store has a map to help shoppers find their way around on Friday. The stores have some of the same items on sale so shoppers who plan on going to one or the other might want to compare the ads before they head out to shop. The flyer ads for both stores are available online at BestBlackFriday.com for those looking to search and browse the ads before they head out shopping.

Both stores will have the Apple iPad on sale for $249.99 and the Xbox One Minecraft bundle will be available at both stores for $199, according to the flyers the stores released.

Both stores will have vacuums on sale as well but different types. Walmart has fewer vacuums available for sale than Target does and each store will have automatic vacuums on sale. Walmart will have the Shark Ion RV700 Vacuum for sale for $179 and Target will have several iRobot Roombas on sale, the cheapest will be $199. The Shark Ion 720 from Target will be $199.

Both stores will have 4K televisions on sale too but those looking for a new television should be sure to check which brand they want. Target will have 4K televisions from Element, Vizio and LG ranging from 43 inches to 60 inches while Walmart will have Vizio, Samsung and Hisense televisions from 55 inches to 65 inches.

Those looking to pick up a new camera are in luck as both stores will have a number of cameras on sale. Both will have the Fujifilm Instax Mini instant camera on sale in a variety of colors but at different prices. Target will have the camera on sale for $59.99 but is offering a $15 Target gift card with it while Walmart is offering the camera as part of a bundle for $55. The stores will each have digital cameras and bundles on sale as well for people looking for digital options.
