The emoji in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement announcement has a hidden meaning, according to fans of the singer.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end—who started dating in 2023—shared the news in a joint statement via Instagram on Tuesday.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," the 35-year-olds wrote, alongside a firecracker emoji.

Why It Matters

The A-list couple's viral post, which currently boasts more than 30 million likes, garnered support from celebrities like Meghan Markle, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez and Kelce's mom, Donna Kelce. In addition, their message prompted President Donald Trump and the world's richest person, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, to speak out.

The news comes just weeks after the "Fortnight" singer revealed her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released this fall.

What To Know

On Tuesday, X user @enerianna—who is a self-proclaimed Swiftie, or fan of the pop star—shared her thoughts on the pair's caption.

"THE DYNAMITE EMOJI BC THEYRE TNT," she said. "TNT" refers to "Taylor and Travis."

At the time of publication, @enerianna's post racked up more than 878,700 views and 74,000 likes.

In response, people praised the poster for pointing it out.

"Irene, please change your name to SMART," @MakingItBuzz said. "I have been trying to learn what that meant for an hour."

"This stopped me in my TRACKS," @corneliaand16th added, while @xxtimezone chimed in: "OH MY GOD UR SO RIGHT."

Swift and Travis Kelce use "TNT" to refer to themselves. Last year, the New Heights podcast host approached Pennsylvania-based jewelry shop Wove Made Inc. Jewelers to get a custom tennis bracelet made for his then-girlfriend with "TNT" on it.

"Since this was for him, we were all hands on deck," Simone Kendle, CEO of Wove Made Inc., told People in February 2024, adding that the "team's initial reaction was extreme excitement!"

"A lot of us are Swifties (especially since she's from Pennsylvania, where Wove is based) and the idea of having Taylor wearing one of our pieces was really exciting since we knew that it would bring major exposure to our brand," she added.
