Tayshia Adams Confirms Engagement: 'I Ended Up With the Sneaker Guy'

The Bachelorette is over and Tayshia Adams is still engaged, she confirmed on Instagram Tuesday night. The series, for once, didn't offer a live update into the life of the Bachelorette post-show, but Adams made the most of it by letting fans know her relationship status over social media.

Adams accepted a ring from Zac Clark on Tuesday night's Bachelorette finale after a tumultuous few episodes. Between Ben Smith returning and Brendan Morais choosing to leave the series alone, Adams' future looked shaky.

Now, her love life appears to be more settled with Clark by her side. In an Instagram story post, she and Clark actually appear to be watching The Bachelorette finale together. She also flashes her ring before rejoicing at finally being able to publicly announce their engagement.

"I ended up with the sneaker guy," Adams says in a second video clip. "Check his sneaks. What did I do?"

Clark responds: "You said yes, this is what you get."

Adams' reference to Clark's sneakers isn't coming out of thin air. A handful of memes about Clark's shoes came out of The Bachelorette, after he was spotted with some pretty coveted sneakers: Nike's Travis Scott Air Force 1s.

I hate that Zac has excellent taste in sneakers because I can’t stand him tbh #bachelorette

Am I a #sneakerhead if I care more about how strong Zacs sneaker game is versus who she is in love with on the #bachelorette? #zac wore Nike Sacai Blazers on yesterday's show and appears to be wearing Travis Scott AJ1 Highs on today's show. @BacheloretteABC pic.twitter.com/zWkUB38DLn

Despite the jokes (and praises) about Clark's sneaker game, it seems that Bachelor Nation is happy for the couple. Some fans have refused to endorse a relationship with Clark, and have brought up men past. Smith, Morais and Ivan Hall apparently still remain on the minds of many. Even still, it wasn't hard to find people congratulating Adams and Clark.

On Good Morning America on Wednesday, Clark revealed how their relationship is progressing. "All of the reasons I fell in love with her on the show remain true today and just in our daily life," he said. The couple also admitted that "sneaking around" during COVID hasn't been quite as difficult as it was for past series leads, because of face masks and the general lack of public activities.

And instead of planning a wedding right now, Adams revealed that she and Clark are "just going to date each other" for now. Adams will also choose to live a "bi-costal" life in both Los Angeles and New York.

So, this season of The Bachelorette did conclude with a happy ending—two even, considering Clare Crawley and Dale Moss's quick engagement early on. But now it's time to shift attention to The Bachelor. Matt James will pick up the roses on January 4, so we'll see you back here with spoilers, recaps and everything else you need to know about James.
