Teen Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Changes Her Twitter Name To 'Sharon' After 'Celebrity Mastermind' Flub Goes Viral
Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg has changed the name on her verified Twitter account to read "Sharon" in line with what some on the platform have called "genuinely the greatest wrong answer of all time."
It was provided by actress Amanda Henderson on a recent edition of the BBC quiz show, Celebrity Mastermind. During theDecember 28 episode, the Casualty star was asked: "The 2019 book entitled No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What's her name?"
"Sharon," came Henderson's reply—prompting laughter from the audience and providing fodder for a clip that viral afterward. The correct answer was "Greta Thunberg"
"The 33-year-old got eight answers out of nine on questions about Mulan, The Lion King and Hercules, so we had high hopes for her in the general knowledge round," Emma Kelly, an entertainment editor for the UK's Metro, wrote in a column Friday. "Unfortunately, that didn't go as well–but she did give one of the best wrong answers the 'Mastermind' chair has ever seen."
Within minutes, viewers took to Twitter, offering their thoughts on Henderson's good-natured mistake. "...and thats why I would never do a TV quiz show, I'd be to nervous. I would have probably answered IKEA or Nokia," one person tweeted in response to the clip of the entertainer's flub, which was captioned: "2020 is cancelled."

Others were a little less forgiving: "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt," another commenter said. "should've said pass!"

Though the change was likely done in good fun, this would not be the first time the award-winning activist made headlines for editing her Twitter page based on the comments of others. When Thunberg was chosen to be Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" issue last month, not everyone was thrilled.
"So ridiculous," President DonaldTrump tweeted after news of the issue went viral. "Greta must work on her anger management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!"

She then changed the biography on her Twitter page to read: "A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend," earning praise from her supporters.
