During the season finale of Teen Mom 2 on Monday, Jenelle Evans accused her 8-year-old son of lying about pulling a gun on another driver.

In the previous episode Evans, 26, was pulled over by police on the highway after a road rage incident with her son, Jace, in the passenger seat. Afterward, the reality-star returned her son to her mother, Barbara, who has custody of the child. When Jace told his grandmother that Evans pulled her gun out, Evans immediately scolded him.

"No, I didn't Jace. Why are you telling her I pulled a gun out on him? I did not do that," she said.

The incident occurred after a white truck tailgated Evans. The driver cut her off and slammed on his brakes, prompting her to report the man for reckless driving.

"He was tailgating me the whole way, would not stop and then he races in front of me and purposefully slammed on the brakes at 70-something miles an hour," she said on the phone with the police. "I almost got veered off the side of the road, like, that's how bad I had to slam on the brakes."

Furious, she followed the man to his house. When she unintentionally hit his mailbox, the man blocked her so she was unable to drive away. After a verbal confrontation between the two drivers, MTV cameras cut to a black screen that read, "At this point, Jenelle pulled out her firearm."

The reality star denies pulling out her gun but did imply to her mother that she has it on her at all times. "I am protected all the time," she claimed. "The point is you don't tailgate people, especially a mother, and try to make [Jace's] head hit the dashboard."

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident happened in April. No charges were filed against either party, Entertainment Tonight reported on Tuesday. Evans has been involved in extensive custody battles with her mother and ex, Nathan Griffith. The road rage incident was cited in the episode as a reason for Evans to lose custody of her children.

"We've got to get those kids out of that house," Barbara said to Griffith.
