Terminator's Judgment Day

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" debuted with more than 18 million viewers, crushing the Golden Globes. All right, that's not saying much, but in a winter of discontent with writer-free television, it's still a monstrous victory. So monstrous, in fact, that it reminds us of these other monster hits:

- A series about a boy and his mom who do battle against scary cyborgs.

- Like "Heroes," the future of mankind depends on a teen's survival.

- Add "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," another butt-kicking TV show based on a film.

- But Arnold won't be back. With an audience this big, he should think about it.
