Horrific details regarding the death of a two-year-old Texas girl from College Station have been revealed by court documents.

According to the filings, Hazana Anderson was beaten to death by her mother, Tiaundra Christon, 21, and her boyfriend, Kenny Hewett, 32, in mid-October, ABC 13 Eyewitness News reported.

The pair then allegedly kept Anderson's body in a car for three days before dumping it near Texas city and reporting the child as missing to the police. A corpse, believed to be that of Hazana Anderson, was discovered by a dive team on October 31 in Moses Bayou near State Highway 146.

An autopsy was performed by the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office and DNA tests have been conducted in order to confirm the identity of the child, although the results are still pending.

Details of the death emerged after Christon explained her version of events to investigators. She said she was staying with Hewett and her child at a hotel in southeast Houston between October 17 and 20.

On October 19, Hewett took Anderson to get food, but when they returned, the child was crying uncontrollably. Hewett then became angry and proceeded to beat her with a belt, according to the documents.

Allegedly, Hewett then challenged Christon to "discipline her child," encouraging her to hit Anderson with the belt, which she did several times. Hewett wasn’t satisfied, saying Christon was not “hitting her hard enough." He took the belt and began hitting the child again, NBC-affiliate KPRC Click2Houston reported.

As a result of the beating, Anderson began to lose consciousness, at which point Hewett and Christon put her in a bathtub and ran water over her face in an attempt to revive her. However, she died shortly after. Christon said she noticed signs of sexual assault on the child when removing her clothes.

When the pair noticed that Anderson’s body was cold, they tried to use a hairdryer to warm her up, but this ended up burning the child’s skin, according to the court documents.

After the killing, the pair wrapped the body in a plastic trash bag and kept it under the back-passenger side floor board of Christon’s car for three days. On October 23, they drove to a location to dispose of the body in water, wrapping the bag and corpse in a rope and attaching a heavy rock to it, the documents state.

This version of events differs from the story which Christon originally gave to the police. The 21-year-old had claimed that Anderson went missing after she had left the child in a stroller for one minute while retrieving a bottle from her vehicle during a visit to Gabbard Park in College Station.

Authorities found Anderosn's clothes in a dumpster the morning she was reported missing, along with evidence that Christon had handled the items. The woman was arrested and charged with tampering with a corpse, child endangerment and giving a false report to the police, according to the Daily Mail.

Hewett charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse, Click2Houston reported.

Christon is currently being held in Brazos County Jail with her bail set at $750,000. Hewett is being held in Galveston County Jail, with bail set at $500,000.
