These Are Donald Trump's Biggest Campaign Donors

With less than two weeks until the November 3 election, President Donald Trump's reelection campaign has continued to receive large donations from both large and small contributors.

According to OpenSecrets.org, which complied data from the Federal Election Commission Donald J. Trump for President has raised $552,108,397, throughout the 2020 election cycle. Overall, outside groups have raised at least $255,945,422 for the president's reelection campaign, compared with $210,752,084 that has been already spent.

The site also shows the different groups that have raised money for Trump's reelection campaign, with his largest donation coming from the America First Action SuperPAC. According to OpenSecrets, this SuperPAC has raised $126,059,217 for Trump's reelection campaign.

Among specific donations made to the SuperPac, data from the Federal Election Commission shows, $10 million donations from both Timothy Mellon, chairman and majority owner of Pan Am Systems and Kelcy Warren, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Energy Transfer Partners, a Texas-based company that runs the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Following the America First Action SuperPAC, is the Preserve America SuperPac, which has donated at least $83,763,873 to Trump's reelection campaign.

Politico first reported that Sheldon Adelson, CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, recently donated $75 million to the Preserve America SuperPAC, which accounts for approximately 90 percent of the group's fundraising in September.

According to OpenSecrets, two Carey Committees, the Committee to Defend the President and the Great America PAC donated the third and fourth most amounts to Trump's reelection campaign.

The Committee to Defend the President donated at least $14,504,269, while $9,881,272 was donated by the Great America PAC, according to OpenSecrets.

According to OpenSecrets, Trump's reelection campaign has also received donations from the Coalition for American Veterans ($6,043,069), the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund ($2,476,246), the Tea Party PAC ($1,949,121), the Rebuilding America Now SuperPAC ($1,410,848), the Moms for Safe Neighborhood SuperPAC ($1,102,104) and the Patriots for America PAC ($1,036,376).

Newsweek reached out to Trump's campaign for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication.

While the president's reelection campaign has received donations from a number of different supporters, according to OpenSecrets, several outside groups have raised far more for Democratic candidate Joe Biden's campaign.

According to OpenSecrets, outside groups have raised $373,186,914 for Biden's campaign, with his largest donations coming from two Carey Committees; Priorities USA Action, which has raised $113,329,897 and Future Forward USA, which has raised at least $74,159,590.

In addition to receiving more donations from outside groups, several polls have also showed Biden ahead of Trump, as the election nears.

Real Clear Politics average of several nationally conducted polls shows the former vice president leading Trump by 7.7 points.
