A dad has gone viral after reviewing Confederate-themed merchandise in a video posted on TikTok.
TikTok user Hannah Hahn's video put together several clips of her father providing sardonic commentary on a range of items bearing the Confederate flag.
They had been filmed by her sister during a visit to a store in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she explained.
Speaking about an outfit consisting of a shirt and shorts, both with the Confederate flag on them, Hahn's father noted: "See, this is perfect because for all those folks who just pine for the days of slavery, the pre-Civil War friends... perfect! Perfect!"
Then, with the camera pointed at a Confederate flag bikini, he joked: "Now, in case the ladies were getting a little jealous of the pre-Civil war 'oh I miss slavery' outfits... ladies, we haven't forgotten you! We haven't forgotten you!"

Pointing at a cap with the words "heritage not hate" written alongside a pair of Confederate flags, he remarked: "Now, because we don't want people to know we wish to enslave our friends, we're just going to write we're not hating them... we want them to be happy."
Holding up another Confederate flag cap that he joked would go well with either the full Confederate outfit or the bikini, he added: "Cap it off right, my racist friends!"
Laughing while looking at a large Confederate flag that was also on sale, he added: "The shirt, the hat, the pant, the bathing suit is not enough, you want the flag itself?"
Finally, he looked directly at the camera and spoke before it panned away to show a flag that was a mix of the U.S. and Confederate flags.
He said: "The United States flag is sacred, people have died for this flag, so you never wanna do anything which might comprise its meaning, value... what the hell?!"
The video was posted on TikTok mid-July and has since amassed more than 1.8 million views and more than 650,000 likes.
Hahn told Newsweek: "My sister filmed the video of my dad when we were on vacation. When we walked into just one of the many gift shops… the most noticeable items for sale were the plethora of Confederate flag merchandise.
"We live in the north and had traveled into the south, so maybe we shouldn't have been so surprised by this but it definitely shocked us, especially my dad! Each and every store had the same set up."
She added: "My dad didn't want to miss an opportunity to speak his opinion on the matter in the way he does best, through comedy. And the rest is history!"
Users took to the comments to share their love for Hahn's father.
"He's OUR father now," one wrote. "He is golden. I love him," another added.
Some joked that they immediately recognized the store the video was filmed in, while others noted that stores selling Confederate merchandise are littered across the South.
"Something about this screams Myrtle Beach," one user wrote. Another said: "Every southern tourist shop has this and it's infuriating."
