TikTok's Rochelle Hager, Known As Roeurboat3, Dies After Car Hit by Branch: 'Truly Tragic'

TikTok star Rochelle Hager has died at the age of 31 after a tree branch hit her car, according to police.

Hager was driving before 10 a.m. local time on Monday in Farmington, Maine, when a tree branch fell on her car during gusty winds, Farmington Police Department chief Kenneth Charles said in a press release.

The winds brought down part of a pine tree, causing large branches to drop to the road as Hager drove underneath. A utility pole and power lines were also brought down. The biggest branch landed on the driver's side of Hager's 2015 Nissan Rogue.

Hager died due to injuries from the branch falling on her car before first responders arrived at the scene.

Officials were alerted to what was initially described as a car crash at around 9:53 a.m. on Monday, and police, the fire department, and ambulance crews attended.

No one else was hurt in the incident. Knowlton Corner Road, where the incident happened, was closed for around two hours so the area could be cleared.

Charles told Newsweek the incident was "truly tragic and unusual."

Hager, who was originally from Pennsylvania, had over 123,500 TikTok followers and over 1.2 million likes on the platform. Many of her videos garnered tens of thousands of views.

Hager's partner Brittanie Lynn, who is also popular on TikTok with over 276,600 followers and 3.7 million likes, paid tribute to her on Tiktok. The pair often appeared in each other's TikTok videos.

She wrote beside a TikTok video on Tuesday: "I can't eat or sleep. All I can do is make videos and wish you were here with me" alongside the hashtags "#rip" and "#myangel."

Lynn wrote in the video: "Rest easy my love. I dont know how were going to live life without you [sic]. But we have the best guardian angel to get us through it."

On 21 December, Lynn shared a video revealing Hager had proposed to her. On Valentine's Day, Lynn commented on a post by Hager that it was "244 days until I steal your last name."

Fans of Hager flooded her posts with tributes. One wrote: "RIP, a sad loss for us all. My condolences to your family and love ones."

Another wrote: "heartbreaking that this beautiful life was taken too soon. Sending prayers and love to all her loved ones...so sorry for ur loss."

TikToker Melissa Núñez, who runs the account beastmodeart and has over 108,300 followers, created a painting in Hager's memory.

She wrote: "My heart goes out to you @brittanielynnnn @roeurboat3 was such BRIGHT LIGHT!"
