TikTok User Finds Water Bottle in Carlton Reserve Matching One in Gabby Petito Videos

A TikTok user recently found a water bottle in Florida's Carlton Reserve matching the description of one seen in Gabby Petito's YouTube videos.

The video, which was posted to TikTok by user Olivia Vitale, shows her walking through the Carlton Reserve and stumbling upon a plastic reusable water bottle.

"There's a water bottle right here," she can be heard saying in the video before gasping and adding, "I just found something."

In the video, she can be heard saying that she is not supposed to touch the water bottle but noticed that it says Seattle, Washington, on the side.

According to Brian Entin of NewsNationNow, Vitale said that she found the bottle close to where Brian Laundrie's remains were recently found in the reserve.

In a tweet on Monday, Entin said that Vitale gave the water bottle she found to the North Port Police Department and filed a police report.

"Police confirmed to me this morning they have the bottle – and it appears to match the bottle seen in Gabby's videos," Entin wrote in a tweet where he included a screenshot of a YouTube video from Petito's channel where the similar water bottle can be seen. It is unconfirmed if the two bottles are the same but the two have similar markings on the side.

In a statement sent to Newsweek, a spokesperson for the North Port Police Department confirmed that they have the water bottle seen in the video in their possession.

The discovery of the water bottle comes just a few days after Laundrie's remains were found in the Carlton Reserve and the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.

The remains, along with a backpack and notebook belonging to Laundrie, were initially found on October 20 and a day later, the FBI in Denver confirmed that the remains were Laundrie's. The FBI in Denver said that "a comparison of dental records" confirmed that the remains found were Laundrie's who had been missing for over a month following the death of Petito.

Laundrie was previously named a person of interest in Petito's disappearance and death. He was also wanted on a federal arrest warrant for debit card fraud.

Some of Laundrie's belongings were discovered in the reserve by his parents, Chris and Roberta, but during a recent interview with NewsNation Prime, the Laundrie family attorney, Steven Bertolino, dismissed rumors that the belongings were planted by the family.

"Do you really think the laundries had skeletal remains of their son, you know, in a plastic bag and brought them to present to the [Carlton Reserve]?" Bertolino asked. "Do you realize how ludicrous that is, how aggravating, how maddening it is to even hear those things?"

It is currently unclear when the cause of death for Laundrie will be released and Bertolino previously told NBC News that the remains were sent to an anthropologist "for further evaluation."
