Toddler's Reaction to Noticing Limb Difference for First Time Is Melting Hearts Online

A tear-jerking video of a little girl noticing her limb difference for the first time has gone viral online, having attracted 12.1 million views.

In the adorable video, shared to TikTok by an account called Dorothyjazmin, we can see a little girl sitting in a child seat in the back of a car.

The child, who is named Dorothy Jazmin—DJ for short—is feeling and looking at her hands, one of which has less fingers than the other, in a contemplative way.

A woman's voice can then be heard saying: "I know, I've seen. Beautiful!"

Text overlaying the video then explains: "I caught DJ noticing her limb difference for the first time... I was able to catch the last few moments of her studying it. Her expression was so soft...so curious. I was so overwhelmed with emotions. We didn't know when to expect her to notice."

The adorable video, which can be watched here, has gained lots of traction online, having been liked by a staggering 1.6 million people and surpassed 9,700 shares.

Many people also flooded the comments section with their thoughts on the toddler's reaction.

One TikTok user, Illusionz, wrote: "She didn't even have to say a word we all felt her emotions. She's so lucky to have a comforting mom [heart-eyed emojis]."

Another person, Loren Schaffer, added: "I didn't not need to sob like this at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. You're a great mom [sad-face emoji]."

Filmed on home surveillance via a nighttime camera, the video begins by showing the two twins—Jack and Ivy Boehme—in their cots, which are situated next to one another. While Ivy is sleeping her brother launches his pacifier into her cot and manages to wake her up and ask for it back using a series of cries.

The impressive clip has been watched a staggering 26 million times and attracted over 2.9 million likes since it was shared on January 12.
