Tom Holland's Next Big Role Is… a Pig

In the U.S., Tom Holland is known for his antics as the web-slinging hero Spider-Man, whose next movie is coming to theaters in time for Christmas. However, in the U.K., his next role has been trailed in time for the festive season.

Every year, brands scramble to impress customers with their holiday commercials, including a brand that has enlisted the help of the MCU star.

As a result, before we see Holland in the upcoming Spider-Man film, fans will first get to see him in his next big role: as a pig.

Who Does Tom Holland Play in Christmas Commercial?

U.K. brand Marks and Spencer has enlisted Holland's help to voice an iconic character: Percy Pig.

Percy Pigs are foam candies in fruity flavors, which bear the face of the iconic British character.

There are sugar-free and vegan versions of the confectionery, with some even including "friends" of the pig in different flavors.

In the Christmas commercial, Holland voices the pig as he is accidentally brought to life by a fairy, who is voiced by renowned British comedienne Dawn French.

In the commercial, the fairy drops fairy dust onto a gift under the tree, bringing Percy to life for his first-ever Christmas.

He begins running around the store, excited at what he finds on the different aisles, from desserts to appetizers.

The fairy frantically follows him around, hoping the human customers will not notice any changes when the store opens the following day.

Holland has not commented on his appearance quite yet, but fans have already started sharing their excitement at his presence in the commercial.

One fan wrote: "who ever works for the M&S and does all the Percy Pig stuff needs a medal. How do you go from a bag of sweets to 100s of products in every department and Tom Holland doing the voice over.

"Percy Pig will be prime minister in the next 10 years like a little evil genius."

Another compared the commercial to that of another store, John Lewis, saying: "So I've not even watched the John Lewis ad but M&S win cause they have Tom Holland narrating Percy pig in their ad."

A third Holland stan added: "as if Tom Holland voices Percy Pig in the new M&S advert it's perfect I can't believe it"

Outside of the world of Christmas commercials, Holland will be back on the big screen in time for the festive season with Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is out in December.

Trailers have shown the movie sees Peter Parker trying to reverse the events of the last movie, where the evil Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spider-Man's identity.

He calls on Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to help him, but the enchantment goes wrong and both heroes must undo their actions.

One thing which is clear is that this enchantment opens up a multiverse, with villains from previous Spider-Man films, like Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), returning to the franchise.
