Tomi Lahren's Heart 'Breaks' for Kathy Griffin After Revealing Mother's Dementia: 'I Truly Feel For You'

Kathy Griffin took the time Thursday to update her followers on her mother Maggie.

Unfortunately, the update wasn't a great one after Griffin revealed her mother has fallen into "the throes of dementia." In a 16-part Twitter chain, the 58-year-old details her mother's condition and shared various photos and videos.

A) As heartbreaking as this is, I feel the need to share some important info about my mom Maggie. I've always been honest with you all, but this one is really hard. The pic below, taken in September, was the last time I was able to have a proper/coherent conversation with her.

"My mom is 98 and up until this past couple of years she was so sharp she always kept me on my toes," Griffin tweeted. "Her mind was so naturally quick, funny, and smart. No one could get anything past her. Watching that slip away so fast has been devastating."

She ensured her follower that her mother was not in pain and received round-the-clock care.

"If you ever met my mom and asked for a photo, you should know it was a pleasure as much for her as it was for you," Griffin added. "She loved making people happy and making people laugh. And trust me, I know she was the bigger star."

The 58-year-old then asked for people to respond to the thread with their own photos and videos of their favorite memories of her mother.

While some did include their own memories of Maggie, the thread mainly consisted of words of love and support for both Griffin ladies.

Shane Dawson's mother, Teresa Yaw, who shared a sweet moment with Maggie in August of how YouTube works, shared a sweet message to Griffin.

"Dear Kathy, Meeting Maggie that evening at your show was a dream come true for me. As I hugged her I relished her arms around me as I felt so much love," Yaw tweeted. "You are the most caring daughter and my favorite part was watching her look at you. She is so proud of you Kathy and I love you."

Following the update, however, a surprising source of condolence reached out to Griffin – conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren.

I know we have our political differences but I I truly feel for you and this breaks my heart. Thinking of you and your mom.

A feud was ignited between the two after Lahren posted her Halloween costume on Instagram, mocking Griffin's 2017 Trump photoshoot.

"Sometimes I do things and you may wonder, Kathy, where is your head at? Well folks, I'm taking matters into my own hands," Lahren captioned her post. "Yes, some may say I am looking more and more like Ronald McDonald by the day and you're not wrong. BUT I will stand here with my head held high! Happy Halloween from all of us infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome!"

Griffin quickly fired back via Twitter, calling Lahren "a dumb, racist, and talentless hack."

Gosh you are just so original @TomiLahren! I thought images like this one incite violence! At least that’s what you and your colleagues at @FoxNews have told me for the past year and a half. I’m busy on tour right now or I’d dress up as you: a dumb, racist, and talentless hack.
