Who Is Tony Hawk?

Hawk is a famous skateboarder, who began his journey as a professional at the tender age of 14.

He was able to purchase his first house by the end of high school with the money he made skateboarding.

He told ESPN: "When I was a senior, I started making pretty good money, and I bought my first house before I graduated. I thought, 'This is my career.'

"Everyone else was trying to figure out what college they were going to and what career path to choose, and I knew what I was going to do. I knew the dream might be short-lived, but I had to chase it."

Hawk, whose nickname is Birdman, competed in the inaugural X Games competition in Rhode Island, winning gold.

This became a habit for him, and he won 10 medals between 1995 and 2003.

He was also the World Champion of the National Skateboard Association for 12 consecutive years.

Outside of skateboarding, he has appeared in all of the Jackass movies as himself, doing skateboarding stunts, as well as making cameos in many TV series.

However, he is probably best known as being the subject of the Tony Hawk skateboarding game series, which began with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in 1999.

He started the Tony Hawk Foundation in 2002, which aims to build safe, legal skateparks around the U.S.

Hawk also launched his own skateboarding lifestyle brand, Birdhouse, in 1992, at just 24 years old.
