Meet The Cast and Characters of Top Boy
Dushane — Ashley Walters
Ashley Walters reprises his role as Dushane in Top Boy Season 2. He also serves as an executive producer on the series, alongside co-star Kane Robinson, who plays Sully.
At the end of Season 1, Dushane offered his former rival Jamie (played by Michael Ward) an opportunity to work together on the outside instead of against one another, bringing them out on top of London's drug network.
Walters teased to Newsweek and other press that Dushane is looking for a way out in Season 2, but just can't quite escape.
He said: "I think he's developed [since Season 1] in the way that he's, he's looking for the way out. I think that's where we find him in this season.
"He's had a realization may be that he can't do this forever and he wants to know, what's next for himself. Is that settling down with Shelley (Simbiatu "Lil Simz" Ajikawo)? Is that having kids? But I think throughout that journey, he clearly realizes that he has a love for power. He has a love for the game that he's in, and without that, what is he?"
Outside of Top Boy, Walters is best known for his role as NCA Officer Ronnie Pike in Bulletproof and for his music career, under the name Asher D.

...
Sully — Kane "Kano" Robinson
Kano is back as drug boss Gerard John "Sully" Sullivan in the latest season of Top Boy.
At the end of Season 1, Sully turned his back on Dushane and Summerhouse and it looked like he was set to try to start a new life in Season 2.
However, in Season 2, Sully is still struggling to avoid the consequences that came with his former life.
Outside of Top Boy fame, Kano is best known for his music career, particularly in the grime scene. His 2016 album Made in the Manor received critical acclaim and went on to receive a nomination for the 2016 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the 2016 MOBO's.

...
Jamie — Michael Ward
BAFTA Rising Star winner Michael Ward returns as Jamie in the new season of Top Boy.
In Season 1, Jamie was the main antagonist, running the rival drug gang, London Fields.
However, in Season 2, Dushane has managed to get Jamie out of prison, and for now, they are working together.
Ward is best known for starring as Marco in the critically acclaimed film Blue Story, taking home the 2020 BAFTA Rising Start Award.
Top Boy fans may also recognize him as Brendan in The A List and Franklyn in Small Axe: Lovers Rock.

...
Jaq — Jasmine Jobson
BAFTA nominee Jasmine Jobson returns as a no-nonsense dealer and Dushane's second-in-command, Jaq.
Jobson told Newsweek and other press ahead of the show's premiere that Jaq goes on a huge emotional journey in Season 2.
She shared: "Jaq goes on a massive, massive emotional journey and so I think for me... I pride myself in being a method actor, I wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes down to my work, so I really had to channel some really dark emotions that I haven't actually felt or experienced in a long time, which then made me realize that there are some issues I haven't actually dealt with.
"There was a massive, massive emotional journey for Jaq, I found there were days where I would be that needing five minutes just to have to myself where I would then just sit in a corner and cry and just figure out what's going on what emotion is she feeling in this point was driven her there."
Jobson most recently starred as Lily in the movie Surge, alongside Ben Whishaw, Ellie Haddington and Ian Gelder.

...
Shelley — Simbiatu "Simbi" Abisola Abiola Ajikawo
Simbiatu "Simbi" Abisola Abiola Ajikawo also well known for her stage name Little Simz returns as Shelley, the love interest of Dushane and a carer for his mother.
In February 2022, Little Simz won the Brit Award for Best New Artist, thanks to her fourth studio album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.
Her other acting credits include the television series Spirit Warriors and Youngers.
Most recently, she appeared in the Sony/Marvel movie Venom - Let There Be Carnage, singing her song Venom.

...
Lauryn — Saffron Hocking
Despite being banished from the Summerhouse in Season 1 for ratting out Dushane and Sully to their rival Leyton, Saffron Hocking is back as Lauryn, Jaq's older sister.
In the new series, Lauryn is pregnant and living in the north of England with her abusive boyfriend Curtis (Howard Charles) and his sister Vee (Ava Brennan).
Hocking described Lauryn in the new season of Top Boy as a "fighter", adding: "I think she's especially in this season, she's there's just a constant fight and this new flight to survive, not only for her but also for her unborn child. Also, for her sister, family, and the people that she feels perhaps she's betrayed, and let down, there's a fight to make things better, to make her life better to make herself better."
Hocking is an actress and model from London, best known for starring in White Gold and London Kills.

...
Becks —Adwoa Aboah
Supermodel Adwoa Aboah joins the cast of Top Boy Season 2 as Becks, the love interest of Jaq.
Aboah described Becks as someone who is "curious" and sees her "vulnerability as a massive strength" in conversation with Newsweek and other press.
She added: "Although they come from such different worlds, they have so much in common and I think that's something that we need to keep in mind.
"It's not like Jaq walks all over Becks, she has her own opinion, she is from London, she might be a bit bougie but she is street smart, like most of us who have been brought up in these big cities and so I love that they brought in a character like Becks because especially in a city like London, it's a melting pot for different cultures and upbringings and I think although there is to a certain extent a separation, there are lots of us."
She added: "I think it's good for one to realize that although Jaq comes from this very kind of masculine and quite terrifying and scary world that where she's constantly kind of putting on this façade and got this kind of front on but that there is a vulnerability that may be Becks can bring out in her and that's why they connect. Maybe that's something that Jaq's been looking for. Maybe she hasn't had the space to really kind of go into that."

...
Pebbles —Erin Kellyman
Erin Kellyman joins the cast of Top Boy as Pebbles, Sully's niece.
Kellyman makes her debut in Episode 3, begging for Sully's help after she finds herself caught up in some nasty trouble with a gang from Peckham.
