Russia's president told the trade and industry minister to work on securing orders for civil and military aircraft within a month "and no later."

Russia's regional airline pilots must "simultaneously be pilots and aircraft technicians," according to a Russian minister.

"We will not hesitate to take appropriate enforcement action and other measures to prevent future violations," Transport Canada said.

A union representing the pilots from the Russian national airline Aeroflot have called for the suspensions to be lifted.

Oleg Malchanov, who survived the Moscow jetliner crash on Sunday, said he could see the plane windows melting before his eyes.

Images and videos of the Aeroflot Flight SU1492 were shared online, showing flames and smoke shooting from the aircraft as passengers and crew escaped using emergency slides from the plane.

There were over 70 passengers and crew on board.

The men reportedly failed their alcohol blood tests, asked for a 30-minute break, then returned with an even higher concentration of booze in their systems.

Kaliningrad received its current name by the Soviet Union, after serving as a German bastion in Eastern Europe for centuries.

The passengers were traveling from Delhi to JFK Airport on January 7, but their connecting flight was canceled during a stopover in Moscow.

The Russian airline has faced two discrimination lawsuits from flight attendants.
