Scientists told Newsweek the U.S. is worringly behind the ball on screening for COVID-19.
The virus killed more than 11,000 people during the 2014 outbreak in West Africa.
U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams and HHS Secretary Alex Azar, both Trump-appointed officials with drug company ties, issued a national warning Thursday about marijuana legalization and increasing potency.
"For too long American patients have been paying exorbitantly high prices for prescription drugs that are made available to other countries at lower prices," Azar said in a statement on Wednesday.
Azar will be replacing Tom Price, the former HHS secretary who resigned amid a private plane scandal in September.
