The Arizona senator recently registered as an independent, but assured voters that her job would remain the same.
"I'd like to restore the Senate to what it was, where we actually had debates and people had to hold the floor," Maine Senator Angus King said.
"If it comes down to voting rights and the rights of Americans to go to the polls and select their leaders versus the filibuster, I'll choose democracy," said the independent senator from Maine.
"Further attempts to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the 2020 Presidential election are contrary to the clearly expressed will of the American people," the group of Republican, Democratic and independent lawmakers said.
"We've got to do something and we've put forward a good faith effort to make that happen," Senator Angus King said.
In an interview with 'Firing Line,' Maine Senator Angus King criticized Trump for raising doubts about the U.S. election.
"It was basically waving a white flag," Senator Angus King said, after Mark Meadow's said the Trump administration is "not going to control the pandemic."
"It looks like they don't want to share the information, they're covering up information," Senator Angus King said.
Senator Angus King said he's "never been so mad about a phone call in my life" after a call between Senate Democrats and members of the White House coronavirus task force Friday afternoon about the country's testing capabilities.
"Obviously, you can't convict somebody if they control the flow of the evidence," Maine Independent Senator Angus King told MSNBC on Monday as he called the expected acquittal of President Donald Trump a "step towards authoritarianism."
"He didn't want to break the law directly on national television, so he requested that you [the media] do it," Senator Angus King said.
King acknowledged that the time lapses may be explained by the presence of a translator, but still said the memo necessitates a wider investigation.
"There ain't no learning in the second kick of the mule here," said a former deputy director of the CIA's Counterterrorism Center.
Also, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is (still) super-unpopular.
