In an effort to provide some relief, world renowned chef José Andrés has traveled to the territory with his nonprofit organization, World Central Kitchen, on a mission to feed those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

Experts say calm conditions above the storm are keeping it stationary, meaning that it is wreaking more damage on the Bahamas, as it bears down on the U.S. east coast.
The storm equaled the record for the most powerful Atlantic hurricane ever to make landfall in the Bahamas, tying with the Labor Day hurricane of 1935.
"We are in the midst of a historic tragedy," Bahamas Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said at a press conference.
