Schumer said that Democrats will soon test Senate Republicans by introducing a bill proposing background checks for firearms—an idea polls say is widely supported by American voters.
The Senate sent over 270 nominations back to the White House on Thursday.
"For too long, when women have made serious allegations of abuse, they have been ignored. That cannot happen in this case," the Senate minority leader said.
