Stanford University, George Mason University and Cornell University are under fire by more than 3,000 students for their COVID-19 booster mandates.
The university in Upstate New York was placed on high alert after evidence of the variant was identified in a "significant number" of cases reported Monday, December 13.
After the college detected over 400 positive coronavirus cases and its first Omicron case, the school shut down its main campus.
"Our police department is working closely with the FBI to identify what appears to be a pattern...but at this point, it's hard to tell," said New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker.
Two investigations are still ongoing, and police have not yet linked any of the threats.
A key finding of the study was that President Donald Trump was "by far the largest single component" of COVID-19 misinformation.
The study involved over 20,000 people, who were followed for up to three decades.
"The commercialization of shale gas and oil in the 21st century has dramatically increased global methane emissions", said the scientist behind the study.

Other students in the class expressed support for the teacher and the student's protest.
