Michael D'Antonio, a CNN contributor who wrote the book "The Truth About Trump," offered his insights into the president's background in evading procedure and protocol.

Trump's seminal memoir and business-advice book was publish in the midst of huge losses for his businesses.
"It is incredible the actions he took. He absolutely needs to go," the California congressman said.

CNN's Don Lemon asked "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett's lawyer Patricia Brown Holmes about suspicions of political interference in the case after all charges against her client were dropped.
"She never answers a question. She berates you. She is condescending," CNN's Don Lemon said.
Scandals such as the alleged college admissions cheating scheme work in the president's favor despite his hypocrisy, Lemon suggested.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel defended his city in an interview with CNN's Don Lemon after "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett was accused of hoaxing a violent hate crime.
Lemon said the actor's apparent assault hoax will be used by Trump and his allies to push their conservative agenda.
