A passenger jet was forced to make an emergency landing after the windshield cracked during the flight, with one report claiming air pressure was affected.

"Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting," Miley Cyrus revealed as she shared video footage from her Paraguay-bound flight.

Comedian Kathy Griffin was one of the more high-profile names who tweeted that she wished the plane transporting the former president had not landed safely.

No injuries were reported after the flight landed in Killeen, Texas, and the plane has been returned to service.

A Frontier Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing at El Paso International Airport because of a "passenger medical emergency and a fume event," the airline said.

The Spirit Airlines Airbus A320 initially took off at around 7.15 p.m. local time (8.15 p.m. ET) on Sunday.

The small aircraft landed around 12 p.m. local time in San Diego's North County on Tuesday, causing traffic jams and minor injuries.

"A Piper Chieftain P31 experienced a gear issue...the aircraft had five people including the pilot on board," a spokesperson confirmed with Newsweek.

In a statement sent to Newsweek, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the plane as a "single-engine Piper J3C-65 Cub."

Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport Tuesday following an engine explosion. An Albuquerque woman was the only fatality.
