First responders encountered an "aircraft down in flames" and a vehicle it had hit during a desperate landing on Saturday.
Air traffic control was unable to make contact with the pilot for 40 minutes before communications were reestablished.
Wesley Moribe, 41, and Courtney Paterson, 46, allegedly left a quarantine station at San Francisco International, and boarded a United Airlines flight to Hawaii.
"Thanks to this man, we are now sitting in the back in the Denver airport as they search our plane and luggage for any bombs," passenger Tara Kraatz said.
"I am God, I am God, I am God," the unnamed woman screamed as other passengers subdued her.
"Remarkably, 2014 has the lowest number for passenger flight accidents in modern aviation history."
