A 25-year-old soldier died this week after collapsing during physical training at Fort Hood on August 28.
In light of the possible abuse, Fort Hood said that Sgt. Fernandes had been informed of his reporting, care, and victim advocacy options and was transferred to a different unit to avoid reprisals.
