One furious person commented: "She has tried for a baby for years, and you couldn't give her a moment of earnest support and congratulations?"
"It sounds like this problem has been years in the making. Unfortunately, it's hard to retroactively fix a 'standard'," a personal-growth expert told Newsweek.

Newsweek asked cuddle coach and intimacy expert Jennifer Simas if you can really measure a friendship by how often you hug.
"She stole from you," one Reddit user wrote, while another branded the bride a master manipulator.
"I want to live in their world. Joyful," one user commented.
The dog owner told Newsweek that, whenever his pup Luka would see the deer, he "just wandered over and said hello" and "this went on all late summer and fall."
The visit to Corden's final taping of "The Late Late Show" has been included in a behind-the-scenes video of the episode.
"She's family and her family is our family, just like an extension of our family. My kid and hers are going to be cousins."
