The incident took place just before 2 a.m. last Thursday inside a home on Desoto Avenue in the Ypsilanti Township, police said. The couple's two children were inside the home at the time.
"It could have been so much worse. It could've been deadly," said a second female victim who was bound at the hands and legs by the suspect, identified as Ricky Lee Tisdale, 37.
The intruder cleaned the bedrooms, made the beds, stacked all the stuffed toys and left toilet paper shaped into origami roses on the toilet paper rolls.
When police searched the home, they found the intruder shot dead on the bathroom floor.
The suspects both wore white towels on their faces, when they broke into the West Philadelphia home of an elderly woman.
