The new rule is a "shameful rollback" of hunting regulations in Alaska, a spokesperson for the National Parks Conservation Association said.

The proposed changes would result in a cost-savings of around $2,340 annually, according to the Army.

"Exploitation of wildlife, through hunting, capture, and the wildlife trade, typically involves very close contact that facilitates disease transmission," said researcher Christine Johnson.

"These ongoing and cruel persecutions of marine mammals are increasingly out of step with modern scientific thinking," said Mark Simmonds from Humane Society International.

The license will allow the president's oldest son to hunt grizzly bears on Alaska's Seward Peninsula.

A New Jersey hunter set a new record, a panel confirmed earlier this month. The 700-pound bear was shot with a bow and arrow in Morris County last October.

The hunt in La Croix-Aux-Bois in the Ardennes region has been criticized over the huge number of animals killed.

Colton Williams was hunting rabbit with his father and a family friend on Thursday when the incident occurred, family members said.

Morgan Taylor, a student at High Point University, went to the salon on Thursday night to get her nails done. Midway through her manicure, she looked over and saw a skinned animal being cut apart on a blue tarp on the floor.

A pregnant French woman was found mauled to death by dogs after walking her dog at the same time a group of hunting hounds were said to be stalking deer in the area. The woman reportedly called her partner before the attack to express her concern about "threatening" dogs.

"This was by all accounts an accidental shooting that occurred after the men were looking for a deer that one brother had shot earlier with his muzzle loading rifle," sheriff deputies said.

The bite victim was identified as 46-year-old James Bryce. The Martin County Sheriff's Office confirmed he was found in a heavy marsh of the J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area preserve.

A joint effort by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Kentucky Division of Fish and Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service is scheduled to begin this month to eradicate the non-native feral hogs from the park.

"I've worked for the Game and Fish Commission for 20 years, and it's one of the stranger things that's happened," an Arkansas wildlife official said.

Scott Bradford, 55, and his son Casey, 21, were returning to their boat after a moose hunting trip when a brown bear emerged from the brush and attacked.

The huge gator, weighing in at 726 pounds, was found in the Santee River last Sunday by Lee Daugherty, David Lowe, Ryan Pitts, and George Mourounas. Images of the reptile went viral on social media.

The attack, which was reported to state troopers at around 7 p.m., ended after the person's hunting partner shot the animal.
