Trump told Reuters on Tuesday that he could intervene in the ongoing case of Chinese Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, who was detained on December 1 in Vancouver, if it would help him make a trade deal with Beijing.
"Actions that could happen would be a lifetime ban if someone is entering the U.S. for work related to the marijuana industry," Michael Collins, interim director at the Drug Policy Alliance's Office of National Affairs, told Newsweek.
"The agreement in principle that we closed with the U.S. is positive for Mexico because it preserves free trade and modernizes our trade agreement in key areas for today's economy," said the chief Mexican NAFTA negotiator.
The United States has been at the center of international rage over its immigration practice that has resulted in families being separated at the border. But it appears that Canada is doing the same thing, just on a much smaller scale.
