Ken Paxton
The latest on Ken Paxton. A Republican, Paxton was elected Texas' Attorney General in 2015. A prominent conservative, Paxton was a key supporter of former President Donald Trump, particularly in his efforts to overturn the election results of the 2020 presidential election. Paxton filed the Texas v. Pennsylvania case with the Supreme Court, claiming Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin violated the U.S. Constitution by changing procedures within the election through non-legislative means. The Supreme Court refused to hear the lawsuit. Paxton also spoke alongside Trump at the January 6 rally that proceeded the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Before serving as Attorney General, Paxton served in the Texas State Senate (2013-2015) and Texas State House of Representatives (2003-2013).
