"He's lost my trust," the Republican leader said of Cawthorn.

The conservative candidate discussed recently losing the Republican primary for a Texas State Senate seat.

Several lawmakers tweeted their response to the altercation.

"Pete Buttigieg can take his electric vehicles and his bicycle, and he and his husband can stay out of our girls' bathrooms," the Republican congresswoman said.

A judge recently ruled against a similar suit citing the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment regarding North Carolina Representative Madison Cawthorn.
