Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama continues to make news, either as a speaker, on social media, or as a bestselling author of the memoir Becoming, years after she served as first lady of the United States. Born January 17, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, she and Barack Obama married in 1992 and have two children, Malia (born 1998) and Sasha (born 2001). She became the first African American first lady after Barack was elected president in 2008. She is an advocate for education and nutrition, spearheading the initiative 'Let's Move!' during the Obama administration.
