The families came together following the Sunday shooting of Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, who was shot and killed by police during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
While taking the stand in the murder trial against Chauvin, a former Santa Rosa, California, police officer, Barry Brodd said, "That isn't an incident of deadly force. That's an incident of an accidental death."
The veteran officer resigned a day after she was identified as the officer who fatally shot 20-year-old Daunte Wright on Sunday.
Both teams had postponed their games on Monday following the fatal shooting of Wright, a 20-year-old Black man who was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center on Sunday afternoon.

"Peaceful protest? Understandable," the president said.
"We cannot afford to make mistakes that lead to the loss of life of other people and in our profession," Elliott said during a press conference. "And so I do fully support releasing the officer of her duties."
After watching body camera videos, attendees at a Brooklyn Center Police conference can be heard asking the department's chief, "Oh my God, you're telling me that wasn't enough to terminate this officer?"
Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott said Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz has also spoken with him to offer his support in the wake of the police shooting that occurred Sunday.
Wright was reportedly shot after he re-entered his vehicle as officers attempted to apprehend him.
""This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution following the officer-involved shooting that took place in Brooklyn Center earlier today and not knowing what will unfold overnight in our community." Brooklyn Center Community Schools wrote in a statement on Sunday.

"My hope is that the world gets to see that right here in Minnesota, our criminal justice system works; that right here in Minnesota, we can hold someone accountable," Carter said. "My hope is that this trial marks a turning point in which we as a country choose a different path."
