The passenger in the viral post ignited a heated discussion online, with one commenter saying "you're not more important because you sit in the front."

Many TikTok users have drawn similarities with the fictional kingdom of Genovia in the 2001 film, The Princess Diaries.

"Are you 4 years old?" asked one Mumsnet user who wasn't impressed by the behavior.

The passenger told Newsweek: "It's just a sight that no matter how many times I see it from the air, it gives me goosebumps and butterflies."

Several users on TikTok were stunned by the "precious view" captured from a plane in a viral video.

An etiquette expert, Jacqueline Whitmore, told Newsweek: "I think both the man and the woman were in violation of the quiet car rules."

"This is so wholesome," said one commenter on the TikTok video that has been viewed more than 1.7 million times.

"I'm still trying to get some sort of compensation for this nightmare ordeal," said Xavi Santiago in a viral TikTok video.

Reacting to the video of a passenger watching the in-flight map instead of a movie, one TikToker wrote, "I thought I was the only one who dd this."

"Generally speaking, I hate people," one user said as the internet turned against the space-grabbing passenger.

"I rejected and said that I would like to keep my seat," explained the passenger in the now-viral Reddit post.

Airplane passengers face fees for bring too many bags, or luggage which is too big or too heavy.

Checked luggage on flights is already subject to stringent rules and regulations.

The fire broke out after the plane landed safely on the airport's runway.
