Khanna's family bought thousands of dollars of stock in companies that are among the 20 responsible for a third of the world's carbon emissions.
"$15 an hour is the floor," the Congressional Progressive Caucus tweeted Saturday, even as $7.25 has been in place since 2009.
The Democratic lawmaker said the president's speech was a "homerun" and praised his record in office.
"We're dumping billions of dollars into a bloated Pentagon budget," the Washington Democrat tweeted.
Although he previously expressed opposition to the idea, the president has now asked his education secretary to prepare a memo to determine whether the administration has the legal authority to cancel up to $50,000 in student loan debt.
The California lawmaker said more was needed to protect U.S. Capitol Police officers after one was killed and another injured in an attack Friday.
Congressman Ro Khanna said unaccompanied minors faced "human rights violations" in detention, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Joe Biden inherited a "broken system" he is working to remedy.
The progressive lawmaker talked up measures to help small businesses pay for the proposed wage increase.
"We're putting money directly into people's pockets—not in the pockets of billionaires and massive corporations," Representative Pramila Jayapal said.
"Extreme winter weather events in Texas have occurred repeatedly over decades and ERCOT has been unprepared for them," Khanna said in the letter sent to ERCOT CEO Bill Magness.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Democrats "have a responsibility" to raise the minimum wage after promising voters they would.
The California congressman has backed the push for a $15 minimum wage as part of the COVID-19 relief package.
"Most successful small businesses can pay a fair wage," said the California congressman.
Rep. Ro Khanna is among those who have hit back at the Congressional Budget Office report on the impact of a higher minimum wage.
"Today marks the beginning of a new era in our foreign policy," Representative Ro Khanna said.
"The rise of political careerism in today's Congress is a sharp departure from what the Founders intended," the Texas Republican said.
A push to increase the relief payments from $600 to $2,000 is expected to be backed in the House but its path through the Senate is uncertain.
A spokesperson for Khanna said the congressman is "so appreciative of all the support he's received."
"We need relief now. Not in February. Not in December," Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota said.
Rep. Ro Khanna is joining Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker in the legislation, and has submitted a companion bill in the House.
The senator from Vermont and his surrogates have offered some clues as to who the progressive presidential hopeful could choose.
Friday, Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Ro Khanna reintroduced legislation to block federal funding for a war with Iran. The legislation was originally an amendment to the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act that was omitted before the final vote in Congress.
"More and more people are coming onboard," Congressman Ro Khanna said.
"American troops have been in Afghanistan for nearly 18 years, Iraq since 2003 and in Syria since 2015," Senator Bernie Sanders said.
"Once again the GOP is using parliamentary tricks to block our effort to end the devastating war in Yemen. Every 10 minutes a Yemeni child is dying," Democratic Representative Ro Khanna tweeted following the vote.
