Representative Candice Keller's comments were also criticized by legislators and a local sheriff, who also called for her resignation.
"This is not a time to compound one tragedy upon another by spreading fear in our community with false rumors of ICE operations," the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said.
The move was also supported by Senator Bernie Sanders, who is a top contender among college students for the 2020 election.
Facebook said the first user report of the video wasn't received until 12 minutes after the live broadcast ended.
"Once you accept that these things can be harmful in the wrong hands, the trade-off is a small inconvenience," one gun owner said.
