After five years of ghosting her sibling, the bride got in touch just a few weeks before her wedding, but she had an ulterior motive.

"I would strongly suggest that Dad stick to his convictions. If he relents this time, what happens next time?" an expert told Newsweek.

A certified early childhood and family dynamics expert told Newsweek that more communication should have taken place before the big day.

The dad said his eldest daughter "could use a nickname or something" rather than her original name.

Several Redditors sided with the bride-to-be and criticized the "selfish" maid of honor for her "strange behavior."

Psychiatrist Carole Lieberman told Newsweek: "With time, it will stop being the biggest topic of office gossip."

"Sounds like your mom is in some denial about how her other daughter has behaved all her life," one user said.

Her grandfather left her the majority of his estate as he was "disappointed" at how the rest of the family had treated her.

A forensic psychiatrist told Newsweek that calling the police in this situation was "a bit of an overreaction."

The woman explained she and her stepsister both wanted to have their weddings at the same venue.

Her now-ex boyfriend branded her actions "deranged," but to many on Reddit felt the woman was a hero for what she did.

"In this situation there is so much previous animosity, it feels like a passive-aggressive act," etiquette expert Diane Gottsman told Newsweek.

"Her outburst was insulting and implied that her sister's growing family was the undesirable result of an overactive libido," an expert told Newsweek.

The bride's reason for excluding her nephew sparked anger on Reddit, with one user branding it "just plain cruel."

"My mom got to see me walk again for the first time in 19 years," the young woman with rheumatoid arthritis told Newsweek.

"And now I need to get a third to ACTUALLY keep the second one occupied," one user said.

One Reddit user wrote: "She insisted on getting the big pieces, presumably because she thought that bigger was better. She got what she wanted, no re-trading."

The parents explained that she was receiving more money than her siblings because she "sacrificed" her childhood to watch them, leaving her brother fuming.

The teen, who has been an "unpaid nanny" since age 12, hid the passport in her sock to escape the trip with her sister and young children.

After a disagreement with her brother and his fiancée, the woman decided she'd rather spend some time in Miami.

"One day Mac and Franklin were playing tug of war together, and the rest is history," pet-care center staffer Diana Gorin told Newsweek.

The man's mother and sister told him the gifts should "stay in the family" and he was being "selfish" by not giving them to his nieces.

The man urged his sister not to name her twin boys Stanford and Yale, but she refused to listen.

"Awe. Those will be some well-fed & well-loved babies. Two mommies," one user said.

Psychotherapist Amy Morin told Newsweek that there were "more sensitive ways" to handle the situation outlined in the latest viral post.
