A lawsuit filed Monday by the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association (SWAPA) alleges that Boeing "deliberately" misled the airline and pilots about the company's troubled 737 MAX airplane, resulting in over $100 million in lost wages.
"Southwest employees are known for demonstrating their sense of humor and unique personalities," said a spokesperson for the airline.
"There was no question. They weren't like, 'What's AirDrop?' They just took care of it,'' the passenger said.
The woman was was met by local police upon her exit from the plane.
The suspect claimed he just scratched the woman's back.
"Southwest is quick to fire blacks while whites are given lesser discipline," Jamel Parker said in his lawsuit against Southwest.
Many airlines are ready to issue waivers for passengers on delayed or canceled flights.
One person died after the flight's engine blew out, causing passengers to "confront their greatest fear, the overwhelming horror of being trapped in a plane about to crash."
The airlines said it would use the incident as a teaching moment.
"I'm appalled that after approx 50 times flying with my 1-year-old son ticket counter personnel told me that I had to 'prove' that he was my son despite having his passport."
Pilots have spoken about the mid-air catastrophe in which a woman later died.
The crew aboard Southwest Airlines flight 1380 has been commended for staying calm under duress.
