"He's finally getting heard," said Angelique Negroni-Kearse, whose husband, Andrew Kearse, died of a heart attack in the back of a police car.
Video emerged Saturday showing Black Lives Matter protesters crashing the wedding of a police officer who shot and killed Stephon Clark in his own backyard in March.
"We should honor his memory by confronting California's painful legacy of racial profiling and police brutality," said Representative Barbara Lee.
"What happened was absolutely horrific and we are so very sorry, so very sorry for your loss," Sacramento Kings owner and chairman Vivek Ranadivé said.
The disturbing footage shows the officers shooting and killing 22-year-old Stephon Clark.
Clark, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene after two officers fired multiple shots at him.
