Texas and Oklahoma were hit with tornadoes Wednesday night as severe storms battered the Southern Plains.
At least three people have died and between 20 and 30 people are thought to be injured, local authorities confirm.
"Our hearts are with our fellow Texans tonight, and the state will continue to do everything it can to support those affected by this severe weather," Governor Abbott said Wednesday.
The warning was from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. EDT
Over the next few days, severe weather will continue to affect areas of the region.
On Sunday, tornadoes caused by a deadly storm system ripped through Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina, resulting in at least 19 deaths and a number of injuries.

The damage was severe in several parts of Indiana, where trees and utility poles were downed during the storms.
Tornadoes were reported in Texas as strong northeasterdly winds brought rain and thunderstorms to large parts of the state.
