Republicans are also less likely than Democrats to trust their local election officials to "do their job honestly."
"I'm dismayed to hear the baseless claims from the president and his team and from many other elected Republican officials in Washington," GOP Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said on Tuesday.
"It would be exceptional. It would be extraordinary to see any sort of indictment or anything this quickly during the time frame that matters," attorney James Trusty said.
The Fox News host said that while he believes fraud allegations must be pursued, those that he said can be confirmed still might not change the outcome of the election.

Barr's authorization will give prosecutors a way around Justice Department policy which typically prohibits these actions before an election is certified.

Representative Francis Rooney criticized the "hold" that Trump has on the base of GOP voters, describing it as "a little dangerous."

"State and local officials and poll workers throughout the country really stepped up. And there have been very few complaints about how this election was run," said Ellen Weintraub, an FEC commissioner, on Saturday.
On Saturday, the social media platform flagged multiple unsubstantiated tweets from the president, claiming that tens of thousands of illegal votes arrived in key states after the polls closed on Election Day.

Minnesota GOP Chairwoman Jessica Carnahan said the RNC chair has instructed her to bolster the president's claims of voter fraud as the race moves in favor of Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
"We just haven't seen it. You know, it hasn't been presented," Bret Baier said.
President Trump has promised that the Supreme Court will have the final judgment on the 2020 election.

"We will not allow anyone to stop us from doing what our duty is in county ballots," said Joe Gloria, Clark County Registrar of Voters.
Nevada's former attorney general claims that dead voters were counted, and that some voters received up to 18 ballots at their homes.
The president's baseless claims of voter fraud and "magically disappearing" ballots were flagged by Twitter as false or misleading Wednesday.
She allegedly collected ballots from senior citizens in what Los Angeles election investigators said was a rare report of voter fraud.
"This is a 100-year flood of voters that we are seeing," said Stanford Law School professor Nate Persily.
