Arkansas Tornado Rips Through Farm in Video as Cows Flee From Flying Debris

Arkansas has had tornadoes confirmed throughout the state as areas deal with intense weather conditions.

Videos have begun circulating on social media showing the tornadoes moving through communities.

One video showed a field with cows sprinting way in various directions as debris flew in their direction. In this same video, a barn's roof can be seen being pulled apart.

"Cows getting ran over by tornado debris! Barn getting ripped up and causing powerflashes," storm chaser Jordan Hall, wrote in a caption to the video. "What a day in Western Arkansas. YouTube video in the works with epic wide-angle shops from GoPros and Monster hail. stay tuned."

Other videos appeared to show the tornado from a distance and highlighted the size of the twister. Due to being recorded in the dark, the twister can only be seen briefly after lightning flashes of light, in some of the videos.

The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that a tornado struck several areas of around the state capital Little Rock on Monday night.

"There is a confirmed tornado between Mayflower and Cato (in Faulkner County), with homes damaged as of 8:10 p.m. CDT. The tornado is moving southeast toward Macon and the Little Rock Air Force Base." the NWS tweet read.

Intense weather is also expected in Arkansas on Tuesday as well.

Storms in Central and Eastern Oklahoma are part of another system moving behind the one that hammered Arkansas on Monday night.

"This is a multi-day, multi-state, multi-threat severe weather event that begins today right here over the southern U.S.," the Weather Channel reported.

In Little Rock at around 11 p.m. local time Monday, there were thunderstorms in all directions around the state capital.

The storm caused tornadoes and dropped massive amounts of hail throughout Central Arkansas as it moved eastward into Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky.

Another system is expected on Tuesday that will envelop the areas from northern Iowa all the way to the southeast Texas coast and into Biloxi, Mississippi. Those storms could also pack tornadoes, hail and heavy winds.

Videos from Cabot, Arkansas, showed the intense hailstorms that the area has already suffered through on Monday night.

WAPT TV meteorologist Christopher Pipkin, shared a video to his Twitter page that showed repeated lightning strikes.

"Ping pong-sized hail from Cabot at about 8:36 p.m. near the Allfam Bowling Alley," Pipkin tweeted alongside a picture of a hailstone.

Another video appeared to show similar scenes in Conway, Arkansas, with heavy rain and hail.

"Here's the full video of my pal getting slammed in Conway, Arkansas, with hail, straight-line winds, and heavy rain which eventually turned into a PDS tornado that went through Mayflower," the caption of the video stated.
