Students at Purdue University think Econ classes are hot. They're learning about the laws of supply and demand from a romance novel called "Life, Love and Economics," penned by their professors Gavin Sinclair, Robert Taylor and Dee Cuttell. In it, Jason and Samantha flirt, fall in love and merge their assets against a background of supply-demand curves and monetary policy. The marriage tax hangs heavy in the air, but their relationship triumphs. It's a fun way to learn economics, but at $42.50 and with no sex scenes, it's not going to put Harlequin out of business any time soon.
