Carson Daly, LaLa Anthony, SuChin Pak, Sway, Damien Fahey—those names are synonymous with MTV’s legendary music video countdown show Total Request Live, otherwise known as TRL. Now, the network has breathed new life into TRL, which is set to premiere on Monday with a slate of new hosts.
Taking over the new-and-improved, 8,000-square-foot Times Square studio, Tamara Dhia, Amy Pham, Erik Zachary, Lawrence Jackson and DC Young Fly will host, interview celebrities and debut new music videos on the hour-long show, which will air Monday through Thursday. Content curators—as MTV has dubbed them—The Dolan Twins and Liza Koshy will also be on board to serve up some TRL excitement from time to time.
Their names are familiar to the thousands of followers each host boasts on social media, but the new TRL troupe has a lot more going for them than just their buzzing personalities. Get to know a little bit more about each host below.
